"The Colonel's House" is one of the most historic homes on Little Cranberry Island. This beautiful Vicorian home was built overlooking harbor shortly after the Civil War by Colonel Willam Hadlock.
A thorough recent renovation has updated all the spaces without sacrificing the home's historic charm. The first floor includes a newly designed, fully-equipped, large country kitchen, a separate dining room that seats 8-10 people, a living room with a beautiful sweeping harbor view, and a study. The second floor has four large unique bedrooms and a newly renovated bath. The third floor provides additional bedrooms and another full bath.

The Station - Weekly Summer Rental
Historic Life Saving Station on seven private acres on the southeast point of Little Cranberry Island. At the end of a three quarter mile right-of-way, is a fully modernized five bedroom, two bath former rescue building with a four story tower and 360 degree views.Watch the sunrise over Penobscot Bay and set over Mt. Desert Island from the enormous ironwood deck. Serve locally caught lobster to ten of your best friends after a day taking advantage of the natural wonders in nearby Acadia National Park.
Or take a sunset cruise with a local lobsterman who will regale you with many generations of accumulated sea lore. Little Cranberry is accessible by ferry from Northeast or Southwest Harbor and the rental includes an "island car" for transport to and from town. Arrangements can be made to accommodate a boat of any size in the harbor at Islesford. There is no smoking.
The weekly rental is $4500 for July and August / $3500 June and September.
Payment: half to book / half on arrival.
